Book Review: Beautiful Mistake by Vi Keeland

Beautiful Mistake

The first time I met Caine West was in a bar.
He noticed me looking his way and mistakenly read my scowling as checking him out.
When he attempted to talk to me, I set him straight—telling him what I thought of his lying, cheating, egomaniacal ass.
You see, the gorgeous jerk had wined and dined my best friend--smooth talking her into his bed, all along failing to mention that he was married.
He deserved every bit of my tongue-lashing and more for what he'd done.
Especially when that lazy smile graced his perfect face in response to my rant.
Only it turned out, the man I'd just told off wasn't the right guy.
Oops. My mistake.
Embarrassed, I slunk out without an apology.
I was never going to see the handsome stranger again anyway, right?
That’s what I thought…until I walked into class the next morning.
Well, hello Professor West, I’m your new teaching assistant.
I’ll be working under you…figuratively speaking.
Although the literal interpretation might not be such a bad thing—working under Professor West.
This was going to be interesting…

I’m a huge fan of Professor/Student romances. Beautiful Mistakes takes the genre to the next level. It’s a second chance love story that will tug at your heartstrings while bringing you full circle.
Rachel Martin is completing her master’s degree and in order to afford her tuition she works as a teaching assistant (TA). Rachel has been assigned to music professor Caine West. On her first day of class she breaks professor West’s cardinal rule, do not be late. Rachel soon discovers this wasn’t her first mistake. It all started the night before when she mistakenly told off her new boss.
"It's not a scar. It's just a cut that healed. The real scars are the ones you can't see-those are the hardest to heal."
Caine and Rachel have an immediate connection which turns out to be so much more. They are both carrying heavy baggage for their shared past. The story runs the gambit of emotions, from the beautiful highs to the heartbreaking lows. I loved every word, every page! This will definitely be on my favorites of 2017 list. 5 Stars!
